Privacy policy

2. The short, honest version
- Cookies exist only with your consent — and without them you can still look around.
- We use no third-party analytics or advertising services that track you across other sites.
- We only store your e-mail address if you enter it yourself — and only use it to notify you when evaio launches.
- No selling, no sharing of your data with third parties.
3. Cookies (only with consent)
On your first visit our cookie screen asks for your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, sec. 25 German TDDDG). There are three categories:
- Technically necessary: a session cookie for logging in and the marker that remembers your cookie choice itself; optionally a "remember password" cookie (30 days) — your browser then also stores locally that you had ticked this box. Without this category no login is possible — browsing always works.
- Error fixing, testing and (security) feedback to the site operator/ developer (ticked by default, deselectable at any time). No cookies are currently set in this category; it only takes effect with future features.
- Support us: for our own advertising purposes and identifiers for advertising partners and further trusted partners of our evaio community (OFF by default — only active if you explicitly tick it). No cookies are currently set here either.
You can change or fully withdraw your choice at any time via the "Cookie-Einstellungen" link in the footer.
4. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you visit the page, the server automatically processes technical access data (IP address, date and time, requested file, browser identifier). These logs are technically necessary for secure operation (legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and are deleted automatically after a short period. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with IONOS.
5. Pre-launch sign-up ("Count me in!")
If you enter your e-mail address, we store it together with the time of sign-up. You will receive a confirmation e-mail (double opt-in); your sign-up only becomes valid once you click the confirmation link. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). To prevent abuse we additionally store a technical check value (hash) of your IP address — your address cannot be reconstructed from it. Unconfirmed entries are deleted after 30 days. You can withdraw your consent at any time — an informal e-mail to info@evaio.de is enough and we will delete your address promptly.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — competent for us: the North Rhine-Westphalia data protection authority (www.ldi.nrw.de).
